The Elijah/Elisha cycle of stories is one part of Scripture to which I continue to return for inspiration in science, religion and social concerns. I get these interests from both my parents - my mom as housewife, feminist, lay pastor and my dad as engineer turned into pastor. I have lived in both city and country. There are things I love about both. I've been a cook, roofer, manager, pastor, musician, and more. Currently I work at a motel and am trying to become a writer.

And this is a gay activist because
A family in Colorado (according to Focus on the Family) has been targeted by gay activists. But the evidence is slim to none. I am certain that gay activists have done some things of which I don't approve. But if the sign burning was filmed and the person's face was clearly seen why not name names and why are the police still investigating. There are times to blame activists and then there are times to wonder if it wasn't just someone from the neighborhood or something else. Somehow this just seems to me another example of a Christian who claim martyrdom when they've been acting like an idiot rather than when they've been proclaiming the gospel. But then what do I know, I'm gay, so I must be an activist.
