Homeopathy and quackery.

Respectful Insolence pointed towards another scientific review of homeopathy. While there's a certain case that can be made for homeopathy being better for people than medical cures at the time of origin, that has long since changed. Double blind studies, revew of patient files rather than anecdotal evidence and more shows the homeopathy just doesn't work. It's popular, but as more than one mother has said, "Would you jump over a cliff because your friends are doing so?" Evidently more than one person would. But that doesn't change the fact that homeopathy just doesn't work. This isn't the only study showing that, just one of the latest.

Holocaust denial

Who in their right mind thinks that approaching someone in an elevator and trying to drag them down the hallway is the way to get them to cooperate? Someone who is denying that the holocaust happened did that. But wait that sort of person is in some sort of mental state that doesn't let the evidence speak for itself. I guess they weren't in their right mind after all.

Magicians and spoon bending

Here's the thing, there are more than a couple of rewards/awards out there for demonstrated ability in so-called psychic happenings. The credible ones come from professional magicians working with scientists. No psychic has demonstrated ability under test conditions supervised by professional magicians such as Houdini or James Randi. Psychics just don't work. One more example is at A Blog around the Clock where there are links to one more problem and some of those who are against fraud.
