Presidential primaries

Bill Richardson has just jumped to the front runner in getting my vote in the primaries. He's the first candidate I've heard mention repeal of the failed Don't Ask, Don't Tell military policy. I still think it's too early to start campaigning, but I'm resigned to having it happen. And since it is happening I'll be looking for reasons for and against candidates and probably keep changing my mind on whom I support.

McCain stumped.

This is just plain scary. A presidential candidate who has several children is unable to come up with whether or not condoms help stop the spread of HIV - McCain was unable to answer this question. This should be basic knowledge for every child approaching puberty. I cannot believe that any adult would be unable to state that condoms help prevent the spread of STD's, especially one that is running for a major public office. So let me mention this again - I don't believe in sexual activity outside of a life-long commitment, but until both of you have been tested for STD's use a condom. Condoms, properly used, help slow the spread of the HIV virus and other sexually transmitted diseases. If you can't wait, then be careful.
