Twins and grandparents

Even without looking at the back of this photo I could tell which one I was and which one I wasn't. Some in my family can do this and others can't. That's what happens with identical twins. Growing up I always thought that my mother and her identical twin sister were more alike than my twin and myself. But my cousins have told me that I was wrong. I suppose I have to trust them even though I have confused my mother and her twin, but never have I been confused over who was whom between my twin and myself.
Oh yes, the gentleman who's not holding anyone is my great-uncle.
