I've been going back to the Elijah and Elisha stories again especially I Kings 17, 18, 19. And what I see is a foreshadowing of the gospels. From the early stories about the grain and oil that don't run out to the raising of a widow's son the miracles are similar. And what is it about those stories? Well the poor are comforted and those who use their power to abuse others are brought down. Could it be more simple than that? Look for those who need help and confront those who step on another.
Or Love God and neighbor.
