Born again

I realized after my post on not liking questions about 'have you been born again?' or 'when were you saved?' I should mention that I've had a born again experience. But I don't believe that the experience is theologically important. For being saved the importance is in the action of God. My experiences of faith whether in slow growth and gradual recognition or sudden flash of insight or God speaking to me are points along a journey that began when that one who is fully God and fully human lived and died for me about 2,000 years ago. To make the process about my experience is to place myself at the center of salvation when it is God who is at the center of salvation.
