Marriage and civil rights

At Dispatches from the Culture Wars I came across a reference to an article comparing the N.J. decision on gay marriage/civil recognition to Loving vs. Virginia. I commend it to everyone. I don't necessarily agree with everything, but even the stuff with which I find quibble (and no more than that) I find worth my time and thought.
