Congressional Oversight

While I've focused on the inappropriate behavior of a particular senator, the Bangor Daily News asks a more important question. That is where was the congressional oversight? The first report of inappropriate e-mails seems to have been passed to the dead letter office. While they are not entirely out-of-line they are such that should raise questions. It just doesn't seem like the leadership wanted to exercise their responsibilities for oversight. Not just sad for the representative, but sad for all of us.
