Margaret thought about waiting as she cleaned the house. She wanted results too quickly. She wondered how she could have waited twenty years. That’s what Israel had done in waiting for the ark to be returned to its rightful place. Was that how long she would have to wait for a full marital relationship? She had never really thought that she would miss sex. It had so perfunctory and even when she had enjoyed it, it just hadn’t meant that much. Now she just missed it. Cuddling was wonderful and with enough cuddling she was ready for more, she needed the cuddling and time to get ready, but once it was there, she was ready for more. “I’ll just wait until Joe’s ready and pray that his scars will heal. Pastor Larry keeps telling us that God will answer each of our prayers. Should I ask about having the elders come and pray. I’m not sure Joe would like my telling that he’s still having problems. I’ll pray about that as well.”
